Your tour starts at the Black River Safari - where you will experience a boat ride tour up this nature lover’s paradise taking you three miles up the Black River and back. While zipping you are riding on 2 steel cables each can hold 23,000 lbs. one is your main and one is your back-up. We have carefully selected the safest possible zipline system where all aspects of the system have safety redundancy through-out the entire system. Glistening Waters - The Glistening Waters Luminous Lagoon is one of Jamaica’s natural wonders. The lagoon surrounded by mangroves is about 4-5 feet deep at the center. It is home to microscopic organisms that emit a phosphorescent light when the water is agitated. Plan your trip for dusk and then take a boat ride as the water is disturbed, you’ll see an eerie light illuminating the waters below. Wave your hands or drag a stick in the water to make the water glow in the dark. Those who wish can swim in the luminous waters as well. Boats leave from the Glistening Waters Marina, where there is also a restaurant and nightclub. Walk the historical 17th century town of Lucea. Take pictures of 1800 town clock that was brought to Lucea by mistake while on its way to St. Lucia. Unfortunately, for the St. Lucians, the people of Lucea fell in love with the clock which was designed to resemble the helmet worn by German royal guards, and so they decided to keep it. A German land owner paid for the tower and the clock was installed in 1817.

Visit the historical Fort Charlotte located on the harbor of Lucea. The fort was built in the year 1716 to defend the North-Westerly parts of Jamaica. Constructed by the British during the rains of King George the 3rd of England, the fort was named off his consort, Queen Charlotte. A section of the fort currently forms a part of Rusea’s High School. It is a panoramic view overlooking the Grand Palladium Hotel & Spa.
